Outfit of the Day: Soho Stroll

Hello beauties! Just wanted to share a quick outfit of the day with my friend, Nikita! It was a perfect day of shopping, finding soho swing sets, and devouring Dominique Ansel cookie shoots. I just found a new straw hat on the street for $15 and am obsessed! The style is super flattering and easy to pull off, even for non-hat people. Hope you all are having an amazing Saturday! xo, Julia

My Funny Galentine: Gifts

We are approaching the best day of the year: Galentine’s Day. For anyone who doesn’t watch NBC’s Parks and Recreation, Galentine’s Day is a holiday invented by the protagonist, Leslie Knope, to celebrate strong female friendships the day before Valentine’s Day, February 13th. The day involves a brunch with all of Leslie’s best girlfriends. Boys are fickle and break your heart, Galentines are forever. 1) Invite your best girlfriends out to brunch on February 13th. 2) Bring photo albums, scrapbooks, and any heart-shaped baked good you can make! 3) As for your Galentine’s gift, crafts are the sweetest way to tell your best friends that you love them. Plain wooden frames can be found at Joanne’s or Michael’s, and so can wooden accessories (I found wooden bows). You can also buy a bouquet of fake flowers, pull apart the blossoms and hot glue them. The paint is acrylic, …

DIY Fairytale Canopy

Mes lecteurs, A DIY glitter canopy is a really simple way to add glamour to an otherwise dull bedroom. I started out with a mosquito net from Sear’s (they range from $15-25) and pulled back the opening with old clip-on earrings. I found fake flowers ($2 at Michael’s) and sewed them into the mosquito net. I tied ribbons to the base of the net so they would cascade down, adding depth to the colors. I tied a bow (from a Christmas gift basket) and a flower crown on different sides. Really anything goes! Try to reuse gift ribbons, earrings, and fabric. I even took the hem of my golden dress and turned it into a ribbon! I found that it adds a really magical touch to the bedroom. Happy New Year et bonne chance! xo, Julia
